The vocation of Citema is expressing the wish to get back to the values left out by the industrial culture, to pick up the broken thread between cultural experience and transmission of manual professions in order to base modernity on the memory of passed experiences.

- Networking of professionals, structures and of public and private organisms belonging to the sector of artcrafts and design.
CITEMA set itself targets to renew the conception of artcrafts.
- Supporting the professionals of artcrafts in order to perpetuate their expertise, favouring transmission and promoting innovation.
- Developing networks and composing the European databases to open up new possibilities of economic and sustainable development guiding.
- Making the public aware of the artcrafts‘s sector leading and organizing the promotion actions of artcrafts.
- Marketing of products encouraging the exchange of practices between professionals.
- Creating synergies with the different actors of artcrafts on a national, European and international level (publishers, private or institutional organisms, universities and artschools)
